Yesterday,
I completed a six day story about my brother. If you want to read it,
start with 11-28-01.
I don't really have much to say today. Let us not think BIG THINGS, but
GOOD THINGS - Ghandi.
Ghandi was Hindu. Some sects of Hinduism have a philosophy very similar
to Buddhism, at the root. Buddha was named Siddhartha. 6th Century BCE.
Born in Nepal, supposedly, was this Buddha. Siddhartha by Herman Hesse
is retelling of the story of Siddhartha, I highly recommend that book.
It's short. It's very profound. It's important. Buddhism apparently began
in Nepal, then spread to China and Tibet before attracting followers in
Japan. Shinto was the ancient religion that started in Japan.
Of course, meeting the Buddha is a metaphor. The Buddha is enlightenment.
We are all Buddha, if we choose to be. We must choose to be. Be good.
