Today is going to be very short. We were invited last minute tonight to a little wine tasting party of a good friend of ours so we decided to go. It was a nice time; we saw a lot of people we know. However, it's past my usual bedtime. I just wanted to mention something someone said at the party which was kind of funny. I was telling the story of why my parent gave me the same first and middle name - because my grandfather's were both named David so they named me once for each of them. People started making jokes about my name (not rudely), and I pointed out that I have already heard most of the possible jokes about my name. My mother stuttered. My father was having an acid flashback. Etc. etc. Someone said I should declare my name to be David "David" Katzman. David "David" Katzman. Like David is my real name and my NICKname too. Like Jackie "The Knife" Fazoola or Louie "The Grapefruit" Biscotti. Well, I thought it was pretty funny.
