Another pretty late night in the office. Sigh. Always disappointing.
I didn't get to work on my painting tonight. Sometimes I wish I got fired.
Recently, I found out that Greenpeace has their headquarters in Amsterdam.
I don't know if I'd ever qualify for a job there (a paying job), but I
checked and they do happen to be hiring one position. If they were ever
looking for someone to be in charge of Global Warming analysis and policy
recommendations, press releases, liaison with scientists, etc. that would
be a job I would apply for without a doubt. Global Warming and the disappearance
of animal and plant species on this planet is the greatest tragedy of
the world. Sometimes I think the death of an entire species of animal
is more tragic than the destruction of the human race. Why? Because we
are the animal that unbalance nature. If we were gone, then the animals
on the planet would find their balance again and would exist in a natural
harmony. They kill each other (so do we), but they don't wipe out entire
species (we do). It's the cycle of life. We disrupt that cycle out of
short-sight selfishness. So many animals approaching extinction - their
blood is washing toward us like a rising tide.
I'm preparing to tell the story of my brother. It's a very long story,
but I want to get it out. I haven't spoken to my brother in over 3 years.
Perhaps starting tomorrow I will tell you some of the reasons why.
