| 10-18-01 I'm fighting off a lousy cold. I feel like I say that too often. As I write this, Julie Delpy is on E.R. behind my back. This cold is making me feel my most venomous. Israel is really pissing me off. The U.S. support for Israel's fascist policies toward the Palestinians are one of the main reasons we got bombed. Israel has broken every treaty, including the UN treaty to allow Palestinian self-determination on the West Bank & Gaza Strip. Instead, Israel moves in settlers who get the best parts of the land, the army constantly harasses them, shoots them at random, their towns have have become like prisons. They have little medical care, little food. No wonder they want to kill the Israelis. The Israeli government and military has been so fascist toward the Palestinians that I believe they are knowingly causing the hatred so that they can continue to justify their oppression and eventually try to force them entirely off their land. So Israel rockets a "terrorist" location in their own act of terrorism. In response a particular Palestinian faction assassinates the Israeli minister of tourism who has described Palestinians as lice and cancer. So then Israel seized some Palestinian territory and killed 3 people including a TWELVE YEAR OLD GIRL. Fucking son of a bitch. And they told Arafat, turn the assassin over or else we'll make war on you. As if he's got this assassin hidden in his bathroom. Give me a goddamn shit eating break. Israel has assassinated Palestinians who they claim are terrorists - they do not renounce assassination as a political tool, but when it's used on them claim it's wrong. Right. Israel has acted so irrationally that they've dug a hole of hatred deep enough to pull the US into it. They are insane. And our government should have stopped them long ago. The Middle East is ready to go up like a matchhead if the US doesn't clamp down on Israel soon. But hey, I've still got a job. |
