| 10-09-01 The wind is blowing hard against the window frame tonight; it's creaking like a rickety, old world out there. I'm just a robotman in a robot world. They have said that irony is dead. Although we have undoubtedly killed many people in Afghanistan, the first innocent people "officially" reported dead are four Afghani who worked for the U.N. removing mines, or demining as it's called. You heard me right, four men who risk their lives to save others lives, who put themselves on the line in noble work every day were killed by our anti-terrorist bombing campaign. And they say that irony is dead. What I'm reading now: A book called Angry Young Spaceman by Jim Munroe, former managing editor of Adbusters. I'm just starting it, but it's fun so far. Hey, here's something cool. I've been selling a book at week at the Border's on State Street in the Loop. It really helps that the book is displayed instead of just being on the shelf. Good night. |
